Formula SAE

Over the course of three years, I had the privilege of participating in the Formula SAE competition, where I contributed to the design, construction, and racing of three distinct Formula-style race cars as part of a dedicated team. This multi-year commitment allowed me to deepen my understanding of automotive engineering and refine my skills through iterative design and hands-on experience.

Each year presented unique challenges and opportunities, and I enthusiastically embraced them all. Collaborating closely with my team, I played an integral role in every aspect of the project, from the initial brainstorming sessions to the final competition events.

Our journey began with the conceptualization and engineering of the race cars, where I leveraged my expertise in software tools like Solidworks and Fusion 360 to develop innovative designs for the chassis, suspension, powertrain, and aerodynamics. Ensuring the safety and performance of our vehicles was paramount, and I dedicated myself to meticulously addressing both technical requirements and competition regulations.

As we transitioned to the fabrication and manufacturing phase, I led efforts to prototype, fabricate, and assemble the various components of our race cars. From machining intricate parts to welding structural elements, I applied a diverse range of manufacturing techniques to bring our designs to fruition. Through rigorous testing and optimization, we fine-tuned our vehicles for peak performance and reliability on the track.

Documentation was a key aspect of our project, and I took pride in preparing comprehensive engineering design reports, cost analyses, and presentations to showcase our team's achievements to competition judges and industry professionals.

Competing in the Formula SAE competition three times provided me with invaluable insights and growth opportunities. Each year, I eagerly tackled new technical challenges, expanded my network within the automotive engineering community, and refined my leadership and teamwork skills. This immersive experience has been instrumental in shaping my career trajectory and instilling in me a passion for innovation and excellence in engineering.
